The “TRIS” shopping trolley has a 3 + 3 stair-climbing wheel system and a rainproof bag with a capacity of 52 liters. It is equipped with mudguards to protect the bag from dirt. The base of the frame is foldable and is equipped with a platform that allows the loading of packs of water or parcels once the bag has been removed thanks to the practical “easy click” quick release system. In the rear part of the frame, special double hook plates allow you to hang the trolley from the supermarket trolley and allow the hooking of small bags. Tris has a capacity of 30 Kg.
THE SHOPPING TROLLEY COLLECTION PROJECT – Industrial Design
A new shopping trolley collection with high functionality and with a contemporary and young look. The project is based on a system with shared components between the models that optimizes production costs, storage and logistics, with parts that have been designed to reduce the overall dimension of the packed product for transport. The trolleys structure, designed using steel for main frame portions is very resistant, but have been studied solutions for lightening the plastic parts with a reduction in thickness in specific areas for a lower impact on the environment. A formula that has made it possible to combine good design, quality and functionality in a range of robust low-cost trolleys. GIMI’s new shopping trolley collection has been designed by CASINI STUDIO Industrial Design together with GIMI’s R&D and Marketing Teams. Each model in the collection has different characteristics to meet specific user needs. The trolley frame architecture is common to the models in many of its parts, and generates an identity to the range and adapts to accomodate different types of wheels and complementary accessories that articulate the functionality of the trolleys and related costs. The “easy-click” system allows the quick detachment of the bag from the trolley (see the details in the images of the “Easy” model). On the rear side, the frame has two special plates, each of which acts as a double hook allowing to hang the shopping trolley to the supermarket trolley, as well as offering a support to hook small bags on the back of the handle.
